| Midel transformer fluid
was developed in 1978 as part of the research activities
within GEC PLC. Originally a subsidiary of GEC, M&I
Materials Ltd became independent in 1993. MIDEL 7131
is manufactured and sold by M&I Materials in Manchester in
the UK and we provide worldwide service
through a network of partners and agents.
Collaborations with Universities including the Schering
- Institute of Electric Power Systems in Hanover
have helped develop the applications of Midel. M&I
Materials are members of the Cigré UK National
Committee; Cigré is the International Council
on Large Electric Systems. For more information please

To ensure the high quality of our products at
all times, stringent standards are applied in our production process.
As well as conforming with IEC 61099, Midel
is classified as a fire resistant K-Class fluid and
it is classified by the German Federal Department of
the Environment (UBA, Berlin) as non-water hazardous
(nicht wassergefährdend). The Midel business unit
is BSEN ISO 9001:2000 classified. |
