| Since its introduction
in 1978 MIDEL 7131 has given trouble free service in
liquid filled transformers for indoor and outdoor applications.
Service conditions range from the extreme winters in
Sweden and Russia to tropical Singapore and the high
temperatures of Jordan and the Gulf States.
The excellent lubricant and cooling properties of Midel
have been the focus for some non-standard applications.
In motors and computers Midel has been used mainly as
a coolant because of its excellent heat dissipation
qualities. Sub-sea, where reduced environmental contamination is key, it has been used as a high moisture tolerant dielectric, for example in wet-mateable connectors.
