Power Distribution company specifies Midel for transformers
in apartment blocks to reduce the risk of fires.

Hospital trusts specify
Midel for transformers because a Midel filled transformer
is not only fire safe but also quiet during operation
compared with a cast resin transformer.

In tunnel projects,
Midel has been specified to prevent fires spreading
and to protect life, for example the use of Midel
in Italian railway locomotives on the Italy-Austria
route through Alpine tunnels.

Midel is used on oil
platforms and oil storage vessels where fire hazard
is a prime concern.

In biological sewage
treatment plants, Midel does not effect the degradation
of activated sludge.
