MIDEL 7131
has been developed to resist oxidation and to absorb large
amounts of moisture, while retaining its performance as
an insulator.
The same routine maintenance procedures and tests as with mineral oil apply, keeping maintenance costs to a minimum.
MIDEL 7131 may be considered satisfactory for continued
service when the parameters on the Maintenance Guide Technical
Data Sheet are met. Diagnosis of transformer performance
by traditional Dissolved Gas and Furan Analysis is still
applicable to Midel filled transformers.
A full laboratory examination will in addition determine
water content, neutralisation value, dielectric dissipation
factor, D.C. resistivity, breakdown voltage, flash and
fire-point.
