High Performance
Midel is an extremely robust fluid that delivers long term stability even when exposed to extreme temperature variations and high overloads. In addition, Midel's moisture tolerance and oxygen stability allow it considerable advantages in comparison to other fluids such as mineral oil and natural esters.
One of the main high performance benefits of Midel is the ability to operate reliably at high temperatures, allowing for more compact transformer designs. Midel has enabled many of our customers to make considerable space savings thus satisfying design and budgetary constraints. This is particularly relevant for wind energy, traction and marine propulsion.

*The space saving possibilities of Midel are exploited by Pauwels in their Midel-filled Bio-SliM® transformers which are up to 30% smaller and lighter than conventional units with the same power ratings. These transformers can be installed in restricted spaces (in tower, in nacelle) and are easier to transport, handle and remove.
