Maintenance can contribute greatly to the lifetime cost of a transformer system that has to withstand challenging environments. In these situations mineral oil has a tendency to succumb to the effects of moisture ingress and high temperatures.
It is possible that Midel's excellent high temperature stability over long periods and its ability to resist oxidation and absorb large amounts of moisture could prolong the period between invasive maintenance thus significantly reducing downtime and related costs.
